I have loved any and all Schumacher fabrics for as long as I can remember! I don’t, however, own any of them… womp womp. The price for one yard is usually enough to feed my family for a month… ok maybe not that high, but you get the point.
There are several that are my faves…
He has very simple and classic fabrics and then my favorites which are the gorgeous colors and scenes. Clearly they can’t be incorporated everywhere in a home- that’s why you usually just see them in a pillow or an occasional chair as an accent.
I happened to have an Ikea curtain that I was no longer using and it was perfect to try out my plan on- along with an old maroon covered chair.
With the right color accents, I hoped this could be somewhat similar to a Schumacher! And everyone knows I love me some Sharpie coloring… so with the Sharpie Paint Pens I already had, I went for it!
Such a fun and easy project- I decided to just make you a little video tutorial- and for instructions on recovering, you can follow the tutorial here.
Hope y’all are having a wonderful day!

So so cool. Thanks for sharing this.
What a brilliant idea! I absolutely love how this turned out! I am totally inspired to try coloring my own fabric now – I just have to find the perfect pattern!
Thanks Brynne! It was fun and easy! I can’t wait to see what you do too!
What a creative way to spruce up fabric….so innovative! Love it!
